Good Gels for Crazy Hair?

I have the biggest, poofiest, curliest hair ever. However, when I get out of the shower, it's perfect and pretty. But whenver I gel it, it stays nice for an hour or so, and goes crazy after that. What is something I can use to keep it looking like it does when it's wet? Cost doesn't really matter, but nothing crazy.

Good Gels for Crazy Hair?

Definitely dont use gels. My hair is just like yours and gel is not the way to go. I tried it because i thought my hair needed something super tough to control my crazy hair, but i've found that moose can be very powerful stuff that will enhance curl and control frizz without making your hair look like straw. And the best difference, your hair will still be able to MOVE. You may have to experiment with different brands, but trust me, there's a brand out there for everybody. When you find yours, you will be very pleased with the results. I use nexxus curl energee (i think that's what it's called) and it's actually a spray, not a foam. Works great. Good luck! Hope this helped.

PS I would also use a good leave in conditioner. It helpes with shine and texture without looking greasy.

You have to put gel in your hair, and water .

Does anyone know where i can get that spray, gel or mousee, that makes youe hair have that beach look?

I get a product called Osis "Thrill" from my hairdresser. It is not cheap--think it s $15 a can but it lasts 2 years.

It is kind of gummy, but you use half a dime size each use.

Does anyone know where i can get that spray, gel or mousee, that makes youe hair have that beach look?

there's a garnier fructis spray (green bottle) which i think gives you a beachy hair look.

if you want...you could also dissolve some sea salt in water in a water spraying thing, and use that. it works pretty well.

What is about my hair?

I just don't get it. My hair is always messy when the wind blows. Because of that sometimes I feel embarrass even to take the transport or just walk down the street. I even hate to run to catch the bus just so my hair is not messy.

I have tried hair wax, gel(makes my hair look so fake)..nothing is helping me.

some people who I have seen...even if it is windy..their hair just gets into place. it seems so perfect. they don't look as if they have used gel...

My hair is short and is quite straight...a bit above the shoulder.

Does it got to do anything with my hair being weak?

Should I just shave my hair bald and let it re-grow?

What is about my hair?

Everyones hair blows in the wind. Unless you plaster your hair to your head it is gonna move when the wind blows. What I recommend doing is carrying with you a small pocket mirror so that when your hair does blow around, you can take your mirror out and make sure your hair looks ok.

What is about my hair?

this is called obsessive compulsion please just forget about it

What is about my hair?

no don't shave your head. i have the same problem but it's the medication i take ya know health issues.

What is about my hair?

You probably have fly aways. You should use a good conditioner in the shower so your hair will be smooth, also flat iron your hair and use a product like leave in conditioner or pomade.

What is about my hair?

I have categorized a list of options for you to consider.

1.) Your hair is possessed. Despair.

2.) Magically turn your hair into solid rock.

3.) Contact Rapunzel and see how she did it.

4.) Never leave your house ever again.

5.) Practical Answer: Go to a hairdresser. They should know,

rather than me.

What is about my hair?

No. Shave your head bald and keep it that way! Stunning!

What is about my hair?

forget....

What is about my hair?

dont be silly. never shave your head bald cuz then you would do the whole Britney Spears thing. If your hair is a mess, try a different shampoo, one for damaged hair. My hair is straight too and that looks great underneath hats! If it is windy outside, just plop on a cute hat. They are always in style.

What is about my hair?

Hair Spray! Is the key. Use it to keep your do in place while in the wind and then you can always brush it out a bit so it's not so stiff. I hate the wind, hate it.

What are some pretty hairstyles for wet hair with hairspray mousse and gel??

scrunch it.

i get a lot of hairstyles from cosmo and glamour.

Do you need moose to scrunch your hair? or can you use gel?

I think you could do both, but I think gel would work the best.

Do you need moose to scrunch your hair? or can you use gel?

No you don't need moose (those antlers are nothing to joke about), but you can use "mousse" to scrunch your hair. Gel works better, but mousse is just as good.

Do you need moose to scrunch your hair? or can you use gel?

I think both of them work equally well (it's mousse, just to let you know.) I use gel, but I've heard the mousse works really good too. When my hair's wet, I put gel in my hair and scrunch it. Then I spray curl enhancing spray all over, it helps keep the style all day.

Good luck!

Why do I get pimples on my head when I put gel, mousse, or hairspray in my hair?

It's for a boy. It's like spiking the hair towards the back. I mean spiking the hair at the back of the head backwards.

I have some at home and other brands and names from the pharmacy.

At Store:

L'Oreal FX Studio Water Gel (Gel that feels like water)

How to transform thin wavy hair to something controlable??

First of all I'm a guy, with short hair, I like to make different styles with my hair, but the only thing that actualy holds my hair is that fructis style wax thing, NOTHING else holds my hair in place and I've tried millions of products, I even tried combining gels with sprays. As soon as my hair feels just a bit wet because of the gel, paste, etc.. My hair gets heavy and 30 seconds later I get a flat head. And the thing with my wax is that it holds perfectly during the day, but when I go out clubing in the weekends it melts and so does my spiky hairstyle. And I believe that the only reason why my wax holds my hair is because it has no liquid in it.

BTW I have wavy and VERY thin hair, however I am FAR from being bald because I have A LOT of hair. I tried straightening it and still no gel held my hair, I've tried volumizing shampoos and nothing seems to work for me.

Who can help me find a good combination of products to make my hair more gel friendly

How to transform thin wavy hair to something controlable??

okay u may think i am crazy! but after u get done spiking ur hair, fry ur tips. how do u do that? simple! all u do is get ur straightener at normal temp to what u normally have it and straighten just the tips, really have the straightener arms open and run them across ur tips without burning urself! it makes it stay in place bcuz of the gel...JUST TRY IT!

How to transform thin wavy hair to something controlable??

you need to go to the beauty supply - and look for a clear bottle with pink or yellow liquid - a white label ( i cant think of the name ) is freezeing spray - holding spray - aks some one their to help you - and fix your hair when its dry and be prepared to hold each section until it dries but this spray will hold almost any hairstyle ( my hair is very heavy but this helps hold hair myhair )

if your looking to just add body to it - get some hair grease - but you dont use a whole lot - more like a dime and rub it between your palms - almost like lotion and then scrunch your hair ( dont go to your roots ) then let it air dry - its similar to wax - but its not as thick so it wont weigh your hair down - but dont use to much ( im assuming your white ) because you dont want yourscalp to look greasy -

Whats the best Gel to put your Hair up??

I like gelled hair, theres something super attractive about a man with well groomed gelled hair

the styles today are way too long

Hey girls, my hair is not to to long, but not to short, do you girls like guys with gelled hair or dry hair?

Hey girls, my hair is not to to long, but not to short, do you girls like guys with gelled hair or dry hair?

Hey girls, my hair is not to to long, but not to short, do you girls like guys with gelled hair or dry hair?

dry

Hey girls, my hair is not to to long, but not to short, do you girls like guys with gelled hair or dry hair?

dried hair. gelled hair is creepy and crusty. and 80's. move along with time. plus, it's easier to run your fingers through dried hair.

Hey girls, my hair is not to to long, but not to short, do you girls like guys with gelled hair or dry hair?

personaly, i like guys with dryed hair

Hey girls, my hair is not to to long, but not to short, do you girls like guys with gelled hair or dry hair?

dried. or if your going to gel it just don't spike it. it makes you look like your 10 years old.

Hey girls, my hair is not to to long, but not to short, do you girls like guys with gelled hair or dry hair?

You should be more specific about the length, it'll help with the decision girls are going to make.

Hey girls, my hair is not to to long, but not to short, do you girls like guys with gelled hair or dry hair?

dry deffently

Hey girls, my hair is not to to long, but not to short, do you girls like guys with gelled hair or dry hair?

no gel please eeewww

Hey girls, my hair is not to to long, but not to short, do you girls like guys with gelled hair or dry hair?

Personally I like when guys gel their hair a little (not making it look wet or hard with gel, but using just enough to style it) and slick their hair back. Very classy. I hate when guys spike their hair though, I think it looks goofy. Just my personal preference! Good luck to you.

Hey girls, my hair is not to to long, but not to short, do you girls like guys with gelled hair or dry hair?

i like it when a guys hair is carefree and it looks like he doesn't spend 2 much time on it

i like a guys hair dry and kinda hanging down a shaggy and agetting into his eyes a little(kinda llike a skateborader)

guys who gell there hair its spiky and when u touch it doesn't feel soft

Hey girls, my hair is not to to long, but not to short, do you girls like guys with gelled hair or dry hair?

well it really just depends on the type of hair,

i personally hate gelled hair anything that you can TELL has some type of product in it isnt cool if you use product but you make it look natural points for you, but gelled - eww.

natural/dry is cute.

and i agree with that california girl.

Hey girls, my hair is not to to long, but not to short, do you girls like guys with gelled hair or dry hair?

Well, that ultimately comes down to each individual girl. The best advice I can provide, is to do whatever makes you feel the most comfortable. Definitely the sexiest thing in man is one who is confidant in the way he presents himself, and feels comfortable with his style. Naturally, things can change and be adjusted. Maybe you find a girl who prefers gelled hair, so when you go on dates you gel it especially for her. But being comfortable with your own style is the best attribute in a man.

Hey girls, my hair is not to to long, but not to short, do you girls like guys with gelled hair or dry hair?

dry it's more natural..gell just seems goooie

Hey girls, my hair is not to to long, but not to short, do you girls like guys with gelled hair or dry hair?

I like totally skater hair. like messy and I like when it looks like all it is, is combed a little bit. I don't know why but I love messy hair. lol so i guess i would say dry

Hey girls, my hair is not to to long, but not to short, do you girls like guys with gelled hair or dry hair?

I like it dreid if it is your length. but remember to neatly comb it. But if your was short, I would probably say to style it with gel.

Hey girls, my hair is not to to long, but not to short, do you girls like guys with gelled hair or dry hair?

I have never liked getting stabbed with my boyfriends hair. On the other hand it is nice for there to be a little extra effort when we go out. I would recommend that you try mouse. It can keep your hair from getting hard while holding your style! I have curly hair and it works great for me. I know what your thinking! I'm a girl so I wouldn't care as long as it stays. Right? Wrong! I don't want crunchy hair! Personally I use Garnier Fructis! Its a great product and it smells great! Not a really girly smell but the girls will like it! note:They have a great line of other products as well.

Use a gel that has water as the first ingredient. Most gels contain alcohol which essentially dries out your hair.

Every time i use gel it maKES MY HAIR EVEN DRIER WHT SHOULD I DO TO MAKE MY HAIR LOOK WET AND CURLY.?

If you have a natural curl in your hair already mousse should do the trick.

Get a good quality one though so it doesn't feel sticky or heavy.

Gel is disgusting. You WANT your hair to look wet? Hmmmm, not sure why that is but try a styling lotion, curl emhancer, or pomade. Go into a salon and ask them what the recommend. I use Pureology products they make a great product for curly hair.

Every time i use gel it maKES MY HAIR EVEN DRIER WHT SHOULD I DO TO MAKE MY HAIR LOOK WET AND CURLY.?

why do u want wet hair?

to get ur hair curly with out using curlers u need a rounded brush..sorta like a pole and so just after uve washed ur hair wrap ur hair around the brush and pull down.

that works for me anyway.

gel is just rough dont use it

Every time i use gel it maKES MY HAIR EVEN DRIER WHT SHOULD I DO TO MAKE MY HAIR LOOK WET AND CURLY.?

wet it and leave it as it is then buy some hair curl spray.

Every time i use gel it maKES MY HAIR EVEN DRIER WHT SHOULD I DO TO MAKE MY HAIR LOOK WET AND CURLY.?

I've been using Redkins water wax for years. It makes my semi-natural curly hair curl and stay seperated. But just know it doesnt take much, or it may weigh down.

Every time i use gel it maKES MY HAIR EVEN DRIER WHT SHOULD I DO TO MAKE MY HAIR LOOK WET AND CURLY.?

if your hair is naturally curly try a small amount of hair oil - there are dozens of varietys and scents -even baby oil works in a pinch.

though BE AWARE hair oils take a few shampoos to remove them completely from your hair and if you use too much they leave oil marks on clothing, pillowcases, and furniture that can't easily be removed.

Every time i use gel it maKES MY HAIR EVEN DRIER WHT SHOULD I DO TO MAKE MY HAIR LOOK WET AND CURLY.?

Hello, I just use Stictly Curls by Marc Anthony. I really like the volumizing stylng foam, and the curl defining lotion.

Every time i use gel it maKES MY HAIR EVEN DRIER WHT SHOULD I DO TO MAKE MY HAIR LOOK WET AND CURLY.?

Try using Curl activators or frizz ease... If that does not work, use conditioning gel (brands like "Let's Jam" or "Smooth %26amp; Shine" are good). and if all else fails, and your hair is too frizzy to do without regular gel, that means it's time to get a relaxer to tame the frizz on your curls to achieve that wet look. But before you relax your hair, prep it 2 days in advance with hot oil treatments on both days...

Every time i use gel it maKES MY HAIR EVEN DRIER WHT SHOULD I DO TO MAKE MY HAIR LOOK WET AND CURLY.?

There are a few tricks to curly hair. Never brush it with anything but your fingers when you want to wear it curly...even when it is wet. When you put your products in, make sure you put them in very evenly, finger comb your hair to make sure you feel it in all parts of your hair.

Now, as far as making your hair look wet and curly...you have to let it air dry. Towel dry your hair so that it is medium damp. First put in a bit of spray on leave in conditioner. Then put the gel in (extra strength) a light amount if you have fine hair more if you have thick hair. Then scrunch it with your hands and clip it up in the scrunch. (scrunching is like wading up a piece of paper) do this without dragging any pieces straight, so you may have to use 4 or 5 clips. Keep it in clips til it is mostly dry. Just before you pull the clips out use a light amount of spritz on the clipped pieces. Pull the clips out, fluff and go. EASY. People love my hair this way.

I am assuming you either have naturally curly hair or a perm. This wont work on straight hair.

Every time i use gel it maKES MY HAIR EVEN DRIER WHT SHOULD I DO TO MAKE MY HAIR LOOK WET AND CURLY.?

Water. That really is the only thing I can think of. I have the same problem, that's why I don't use hair products. Have you considered a perm? You could carry a very small water sprayer in your purse to wet it as it dries. (Think trial size pump hairspray). If you absolutely must use gel, get a good deep conditioner. I like Pantene Pro V Intensive Treatment. It is a treatment conditioner, but I use it everytime I wash my hair. I straighten my hair with a blow dryer and straightening iron, so I need extra conditioning. I really notice a difference. I've tried all of the expensive conditioners and treatments, but none of them seem to work as much as the Pantene.

Every time i use gel it maKES MY HAIR EVEN DRIER WHT SHOULD I DO TO MAKE MY HAIR LOOK WET AND CURLY.?

MOUSSE USE MOUSSE i use it all the time just use that and if you want it to look dry then just blow dry it dont use gel it just makes ur hair rock hard or you can use aussie hair spray i love that stuff

Every time i use gel it maKES MY HAIR EVEN DRIER WHT SHOULD I DO TO MAKE MY HAIR LOOK WET AND CURLY.?

Well..A trick us girls used at my old school, was to get a bottle of mousse and squirt loads into our hands and put it into our hair, you dont need any expensive mousse, tescos value still works! Anyway make sure your hair is completely covered in mousse and use your hands to like ruff your hair up! Your hair will look curly and wet, but also greasy. Even straight hair goes curly! Good Luck!

Help! I used my girlfriend's hair removal mouuse as a shaving gel by mistake...?

2 days ago I used my GF's hair removal mousse, thinking it was shaving cream. Now I have reddish spots on my face, and my acne which went away years ago, just showed up again. What should i do!!

Help! I used my girlfriend's hair removal mouuse as a shaving gel by mistake...?

It's probably just a reaction and it will clear up soon. My daughter is allegergic to that stuff and her legs break out in what looks like acne for a few days. Use a good moisturizer and it should help if you are having a little bit of burning with it.

Help! I used my girlfriend's hair removal mouuse as a shaving gel by mistake...?

just use non irritating skin cleanser and in a few more days it should clear up.

Help! I used my girlfriend's hair removal mouuse as a shaving gel by mistake...?

I suggest a loofah, followed by astringent. It can gently exfoliate the area and let the hairs pop on through, doing away with the red spots. If you're really determined, I have heard of people scrubbing their face GENTLY with facial cleanser and an electric toothbrush.

Good luck!

Help! I used my girlfriend's hair removal mouuse as a shaving gel by mistake...?

Well as an E.MT., The redness is from the acid, it is a mild form of acid burn. you should be OK in a few days. just keep washing your face with a very mild soap and cool water and pat your face dry. and in the future you might ask your girlfriend to keep her hair removal products in a different place.

How can I get my hair to look great?

I have no beauty sense at all %26amp; want to look fantabulous today. I have shoulder length brown hair, cut in layers. It's supposed to be a layered thick bob style. Anyway, I have fat curling iron, small curling iron, heat brush iron, blow dryer. I have mousse, gel, hair spray, and some kind of freeze spray. Any suggestions?

Can aloe gel make men's hair grow? If so, how much should I use.?

If I was selling aloe, then I would say yes.

There is nothing known to science that will make hair grow. Anything you have seen or heard advertised is merely for sales, and are not effective.

This you have to understand: hair grows from under the surface of the skin. Nothing you put on the outside does anything to the roots, which are inside.

There are many things that can affect hair growth, and the main one is your health. You must be in excellent health for your hair to be in good health as well. The first indication of poor health, or of health problems, is usually the hair and skin. "you don't look well".. we already know about the truth of that statement. Keep yourself free of disease, eat properly, exercise.

Your hormones also will affect your hair, as it does everything. During puberty, when hormones are changing, you will see the fastest hair growth, and your hair is usually the thickest. For men, it starts going downhill after that, for those same hormones that make you a man, also make your hair stop growing, most often right at the top of the head. The only way to stop that is to stop the production of those hormones just when you hit the peak of hair growth. The only way to do that is to remove those testicles. Worth it?

There are some products that are being sold for cosmetic purposes which can make the situation worse. Don't use a lot of useless products on your hair. If you are in good health, there should be no reason to use all that stuff. Keep it clean (without a lot of additives), avoid abuse to your hair (hot dry wind, and sun), and don't use anything that will build up or block the follicles so the hair can't get out easily. Keep a hair style that can make you look your best.

Use common sense, and enjoy what you have.

Is gel bad for the hair?

If you use too much of it (like everyday), it can damage your hair but a little, now and then, is fine. Also use gel from companies you've heard of or trust. Some gels make your hair very sticky even after you wash it.

Is gel bad for the hair?

No, not at all. Sometimes you can get product build up on your hair.. then you'll just want to use a clarifying shampoo about once a week or go get a MALIBU in a salon which will take out the product and any permanents or dyes you don't want in your hair.

Is gel bad for the hair?

I know that some gel's are bad you can get cancer and your hair falls off.

it depends. what you can do is use a straightening balm or gel and blow dry your hair and get it as straight as you can that way, then use your a straightener. with just about ALL straighteners you cant straighten your hair while its wet, it will destroy it. all the salons ive been to do it that way for me (i have naturally curly hair) and i do it that way my self. hope this helps =]

I like how gel looks in my hair but then its curly. how can i use my flat iron with gel?

What to do with frizzy hair? I dont want to put gel in it anymore?

I have been told that friut in my hair will make it smoother. What kind of cream or whatever. Is baby oil good at all? I ve heard so much i dont know. Real answers please. thnks

What to do with frizzy hair? I dont want to put gel in it anymore?

You don't mention why you don't want to use gel but I suspect it's because it makes your hair feel hard or sticky. First of all, DON'T use baby oil for reasons too numerous to explain here. You DO need to use a leave-in conditioner. One of the products my curly haired clients love is Botz Creme by ABBA Pure and Natural. It's like a leave-in conditioner with a bit of hold. It softens, has sunscreen, tames frizzies, is humidity resistant and it doesn't feel like you have anything in your hair. Waxes and pomades work well too but if you don't like gel you may not like them either. It takes the tiniest little bit and they don't make your hair crispy. I agree with the previous answer about Redken Glass, a little goes a long way and smoothes your hair nicely but the Botz is a better choice if you don't already have a leave-in conditioner. By the way, ABBA is 100% vegan, natural botanicals and has an entire line of hair care for your type of hair. Good luck.

What to do with frizzy hair? I dont want to put gel in it anymore?

Use garneir sleek and shine, it helps get rid of frizz.

What to do with frizzy hair? I dont want to put gel in it anymore?

use a flat iron. It takes the frizz right out.

What to do with frizzy hair? I dont want to put gel in it anymore?

Garnier Sleek and Shine works really good

What to do with frizzy hair? I dont want to put gel in it anymore?

i get frizzy hair too but it usually helps if u use john frieda or something like that...he has a whole line of frizz ease stuff that gets rid of frizzy hair. to get rid of mine i just wash it, blowdry, and straighten. also...u could try using extra virgin olive oil. good luck!!!!!

What to do with frizzy hair? I dont want to put gel in it anymore?

well if u try to straiten it it might help. idk u can try it and if u look on the bottles of the shampoo it will say frizz control u might want this idk but i dont have frizz and im proud all though im srry for u

What to do with frizzy hair? I dont want to put gel in it anymore?

Put some serum!!!!!!! try so sexy serum by victoria's secret.

Baby oil could be ok but i dont think is good for you r hair, so only use it if you dont have anything else.

Also try brushing your hair when you are in the shower instead of when your hair is dry, cause it brakes and makes it more frizzy!

What to do with frizzy hair? I dont want to put gel in it anymore?

Try a product like Redken Glass. It is a smoother and not very expensive. It also last a long time because you don't need a lot. You just wash and towel dry then rub a dime size (for med. length hair) more if you have longer hair) between your hands and smooth down the length of your hair starting mid way down. I wouldn't do the root area or you may get an oily look. You may even want to try hair wax. If your hair is shorter it works really well! I hope this helps!

What to do with frizzy hair? I dont want to put gel in it anymore?

just use a new shampoo

Take good care of your hair! It will add to your charm - who can resist a person with lovely, silky hair? So do try out the above tips! Hope these littles tips have been useful! :)

Tips To Stop Hair Loss %26amp; Keep Healthy Hair Here are some hair care tips that you can use to help stop hair loss and keep your existing hair healthy and looking great. Please don't take these tips lightly. They are very important . The only thing they require is your time and commitment.

- Massage your scalp with your fingertips (not your nails) daily to stimulate and promote circulation to your scalp and reduce excess fallout. Invert your head while you shampoo %26amp; massage your scalp. This helps promote blood circulation to the head.

- Essential oils %26amp; tea . To stimulate scalp circulation, massage the scalp with rosemary essential oil or rinse hair with tea made from sage.

- Comb or brush your hair and scalp gently in the morning and at night. This helps break up hardened oils (sebum) that are clogging your hair follicles. Doing this alone has produced new hair growth. Do not over do combing or brushing.

- keep a distance from dryer's heat. When using blow dryers, always keep the heat a good distance from your scalp and hair. Avoid heating the scalp and hair excessively. Excessive heat will increase hair loss, and excess fallout.

- Avoid getting hair creams, lotions, styling gels and sprays directly on the scalp as they will clog your hair follicles. Use a light hold spray if you must.

- After swimming in a pool, shampoo your hair as soon as possible to remove any chlorine residue. Chlorine is extremely damaging to the hair and scalp.

- Avoid over-exposing your hair and scalp to the wind and sun. Good hair care over a long period really makes a difference!

- Avoid tight hats and caps as they contribute to poor circulation, depriving the hair of proper nutrition and stunting new hair growth. The sweat, dirt and grime around the rim inhibit follicle health and contribute to build-up.

- Always consult your health care provider for extreme causes of excess fallout and thinning. A medical condition or medication could be causing hair loss side-effects.

- Strive for balance and harmony in both your personal and professional lifestyle. High stress factors can cause your body to react by fluctuating hormone levels. This in turn causes excessive oil secretion (sebum) which results in hair loss.

- Pregnancy, nursing, menopause, and even birth control medication can cause constant changing factors on your nutritional needs and hormonal levels which contribute to hair loss and excess fallout.

- Avoid "crash and fad" diets. Proper nutritious meals along with vitamin and mineral supplements are a key factor for healthy hair and skin.

- Good hair care starts with awareness. These hair care tips, if followed consistently, will reduce excess fallout, hair loss, and promote new hair growth.

- Reduce hair loss effects by increasing your intake of vitamin C found in fresh fruits and vegetables, particularly citrus fruit and juices, parsley, broccoli, green peppers and black currants. Take a vitamin B complex everyday or brewers yeast. Increase your intake of protein found in meat, fish, liver, wheat germ, dried cooked beans and peas, tofu, cheese, milk and eggs.

- Take dietary supplements such as Vitamin B6, zinc %26amp; saw palmetto. Supplements are useful when you can't get enough from natural food sources.

- The Chinese believe that hair is nourished by the blood, and therefore influenced by the kidney %26amp; liver. Treatment is aimed at these organs using fleece flower root, wolfberry fruit or mulberry fruit.

- Eliminate stress or else it can be disastrous to your precious hair!

- Get enough sleep. Sleeping well is essential for the health of your hair as well as for the rest of your body.

There are ways you can help stop the grease from appearing but you have to work at it.

Do not wash everyday. The cleaner your hair is the more it can seep into your glands and harder it is to get rid of. When you do wash make sure you are washing with a cleaning shampoo and scrubbing the build up off. Take in mind that you also have to have a ph-balanced mild shampoo and lite scrubbing is recommended. Try to avoid conditioner at the roots, apply in the middle or on the ends.

Try to avoid oil in your daily food intake. And do eat more vegetables. You could visit your doctor but only after you check and consider your diet, drugs, alcohol, and your fatty food intake. Let's face it we see what McDonalds can do to your heart in a month, can you image your hair. You would be dripping everywhere.

Maybe it's time to change your shampoo. Ask your stylist what she or he would recommend. Avoid using shine products at all costs. Keep away from two-in-one shampoos and conditioners and any frizz serums.

To fix at the moment, rub a little Talcum Powder on your dried hair at the roots. Just make sure you wash it out. I wish they would event that magic product, but this will help until they do.

Here are 10 tips for to keep your hair strong, smooth, shiny and beautiful!

1. Keep your diet balanced, and eat protein and calcium rich foods. Stay away from junk foods! This is essential for healthy hair.

2. Foods and supplements to nourish your hair:

* Beans

* Yogurt

* Almonds

* Vitamin B

* Fish

* And of course, the magic potion for beauty - WATER

3. Before washing your hair, comb it well to make sure all knots has been loosened from your hair.

4. Before applying shampoo, use warm water (35 to 38 degrees Celsius) to run through your hair to rinse and wet it thoroughly.

5. When applying shampoo or conditioner, don't use your fingernails to scrape through your hair. Instead, use your palm and fingertips to massage your scalp and hair gently, in circular motions. This will help the circulation and also help to keep your hair shiny and smooth.

6. After rinsing away all the shampoo, run water over your hair for at least another half a minute (3 minutes is best) to ensure there are no remains of shampoo remaining in your hair, since this will cause a great deal of damage to your scalp.

7. When applying hair treatment products, do so just after you have washed your hair, so that your hair can absorb all the good stuff while it is half wet. This will be the best time for it to absorb nourishment.

8. NEVER go to bed with your hair wet! Hair that is half wet is most easily broken, and if you sleep during this time, your hair will be rubbing against each other, damaging your hair in the most terrible way.

9. Too much pressure may lead to hair loss! Relax... try some good relaxation methods such as soaking in a nice scented bath, listening to music, and eating healthy comfort foods such as strawberries and grapes.

10. Perming and coloring seriously damages your hair. Avoid it as much as possible. Also, when using hair setting products such as gel or putty, use as little as possible, because they hurt your scalp and hair. Wash them out thoroughly afterwards with a shampoo specially created for removing styling products.

How do you "weigh down" curly hair?

I have extremely thick, poofy, curly hair. I have never in my life been able to wear all of my hair down without anytype of hair accessory and part of it being up. I am albe to get it pretty straight and am able to wear it all down when it is staight (figured that one out couple of years ago) but I really want to do it when it is curly. Just wondering if there was anything out there to help me keep that "after shower" flatness of my curls. It looks so cute about 10 minutes after I get out of the shower. But by the time it has dried, it is extremely poofy, I mean, honestly, my friends gasp and then laugh everytime I show them. My hair is fairly long, mid-back, extremelt thick (most stylists say thickest they've seen) and very curly. Anyway, didn't know if there was anything out there that could help me weigh down my hair so I could maybe wear it all down one time. I currently use gel, hair spray, a product called "Hair Food (grease)" along with regular shampoo and conditioner

How do you "weigh down" curly hair?

there are lots of products out there for curly hair to define curls and weigh them down. you may have to try a few before you find one that works. gel is fine if you don't mind that crunchy wet look but creams work alot better and define the curls while still keeping them soft. here are a couple of my favorite creams: sexy hair concepts-curling cream, AG-details, ISO-bouncy cream. your stylist should have access to any of these or know where to get them

a few tips:

#1 make sure your hair is coated pretty well from scalp to ends but don't over do it(start with a little bit-you can always add more and tackle your hair in sections if its too thick or flip it upside down)

#2 if your blow drying, use a diffuser. its made to dry the hair with the heat instead of the air pressure(which is what straightens and frizzes out the curl). also, don't dry it all the way, get it about 80% dry then let it dry the rest of the way by itself

#3 Whether your drying or not, once you have the product in your hair leave it alone. the more you have your hands in it the more your gonna get those frizzy fly aways. if your drying, use the prongs in the diffuser instead of your hands, that's what they are there for. tip your head from side to side or upside down and scoop your hair with the diffuser.

How do you "weigh down" curly hair?

Let that curly hair flygirl. I gots curly hair too. **** straights.

How do you "weigh down" curly hair?

try bacon grease

How do you "weigh down" curly hair?

Okay so Baby oil weighs down hair I think like you're talking about.. and now they make baby oil in fun smells, also if your hair is really thick maybe get it thinned at the salon next time?? I wouldn't put the baby oil too close to your roots though, then it will look like your hair is greasy, and a good curly hair product is Aveeda Be Curly!! I love it!! Good luck!!! Remember only Goddesses have curly hair!!

How do you "weigh down" curly hair?

Iron it with a flat iron.

How do you "weigh down" curly hair?

Maybe some olive oil..and they have straightners and 'smoothers' out now in the hair sections of the supermarkets. Maybe rub the olive oil in while your hair is wet, then comb through

How do you "weigh down" curly hair?

I agree with DSl. I have the same hair problem as you. I use curl defining products. They eliminate the frizz and leave you with nice curls.

The only thing that I would add to DSl's comment is: Have your hair texturized. You keep the length, but the poofiness goes away. I have been letting my hair grow out for 2 years now. It is down to mid-back. No more poofiness. It's really great! I have alway hated my curly hair and used to always fight it. Not anymore. Texturizing works wonders. Make sure that the hairdresser knows how to do it. It is not the same as thinning the hair. Good Luck, and happy curls!

conditioner, use your conditioner as if it were gel

How do you "weigh down" curly hair?

I have naturally curly hair also and I have tried just about everything. My favorites that I found so far are: Curls Rock- Curl Amplifier by Catwalk (while hair is still wet) and Redken Vinyl Glam (finishes the style nicely when it's dry). They are both great products that work well to maintain "control". I also use Catwalk Curls Rock shampoo and conditioner, but not sure if it's necessary. Good Luck!

Is there a way to keep my curly hair from puffing up without any gel or spray or whatever?

I have curly hair, obviously, and I sadly use hairspray everday for my hair. To keep it from looking like a puffed up poodle. Is there ANY shampoo and conditioner, that's excellent for my hair that will keep it down. I use dove products the shampoo w/ conditioner and hairspray. I know it's a good name in all but, I'm just sick of damaging my hair with all the spray. My friends they refuse to use any spray or w/e in their straight hair and their hair is perfectly soft and whatnot. The thing is their hair is straight and mine is well you know, so it kind of makes a difference I guess. Any help at all I appreciate it so much.

Is there a way to keep my curly hair from puffing up without any gel or spray or whatever?

For somedays use just shampoo, not conditioner, Sunsilk do some goood products (shampoos and conditioner mainly) for curly or wavy hair.

Is there a way to keep my curly hair from puffing up without any gel or spray or whatever?

I have had curly hair foreverrr. And the one thing that I've learned about frizz, is that heat causes it.

You didn't mention if you blowdry your hair, but that can make curly hair turn into a ridiculous mess!!!

Try not blowdrying at all, or using a very low setting with the "cool" button pressed down. Also, you can use a diffuser, which is specifically designed to stick on the end of the hairdryer and prevent frizz in curles!!!

Many companies also make smoothing creams to be applied to wet and dry hair to tame curls

Is there a way to keep my curly hair from puffing up without any gel or spray or whatever?

dont use a volumizer. sunsilk is really good too. If you want to keep your hair curly then use the shampoo and conditioner but if you want your hair straight, straighten your hair. And i learned that if u straighten it and put straight extentions in it ways it down so it dosent get all frizzy. (dont use the hairspray anymore and if u use a alot of make up. it adds 4.4 pounds everytime)

Is there a way to keep my curly hair from puffing up without any gel or spray or whatever?

visit www.herbalessences.com for details on all of their products. they work very well and you can combine them to fix all of the problem in your hair.

Pantene Ice Shine shampoo and conditioner are really good for reducing frizz and my hair feels healthier when I use them. I'd give them a try.

Thin/straight hair into curls help?

Most of the time, Miley's hair is down. Try some long curls with your curling iron. Part your hair in three sections. Leave one section out and put the rest up with a clip or scrunchy. When you are curling your hair make sure it looks like a spring wrapped around the curling iron. After your done with that section use some hair spray to keep its hold and move on to the rest. If you have short hair put it up in a bun and leave a little in the front to drop in your face.

Thin/straight hair into curls help?

well the problem is, her hair is naturally thick and curly so you cant have your hair exactly like that, youll need to grow it out a little more and possible get layers. cut down on the flat ironing and blow drying if you do that stuff because it will only make your hair dryer and thinner and youll have to trim the ends if you want your hair to look good.

Is Herbal Essences Shimmery Nights Spray Gel good to make your hair shiny and less frizzy?

I've heard good things about herbal essences shimmery nights. is it good? does it make your hair shimmery?

Is Herbal Essences Shimmery Nights Spray Gel good to make your hair shiny and less frizzy?

I love that stuff. It smells really good but be sure to wash your hands after so they'll get really sticky like every other gel. I have never noticed a difference in frizz but it does make my hair really sparkly.

Is Herbal Essences Shimmery Nights Spray Gel good to make your hair shiny and less frizzy?

it gets really shiney

Is Herbal Essences Shimmery Nights Spray Gel good to make your hair shiny and less frizzy?

Hair problemz?

i have st8 hair and whenever i try to curl it...it comes out st8 no matter wat

i tried a curling iron...gel...hair spray...shampoo....nothing wrks

does anyone kno anythin dat will make ma hair curly and have it stay that way all day??

Hair problemz?

because i would really like a best answer today...i will tell you the secret

curl your hair so it is still damp in a curling iron(do it well)

after that put it in a bun so your hair twists all the way up and then forms into a spiral in a circle

sleep in that and then in the morning take them out and blow dry your hair and crunch your hair with your hands for a bit before

it will make the difference :) it worked for me and my hair is not only straight...but thin...ughh

Hair problemz?

Have you tried sleeping with curlers in your hair?

Hair problemz?

maybe a perm? they have nice perms now not the kind everyones moms had in the 80's

Hair problemz?

braiding your hair while its still wet. Undo when dry! It'll stay wavy till u wash it! Have fun!

How do you keep your hair in place while you dance?

i like to leave my hair down while i dance i think i dont really look good with my hair up

but what kind of hair spray/gel or whatever else do u use to make ur hair stay in place while u dance???

cuz like when i dance if i flip my hair or soemthin it gets all messed up lol

How do you keep your hair in place while you dance?

First start with extra hold moose when you get out of the shower.Put the moose through all of your hair. Blow dry it or let it dry in the closest way to your style your trying to achieve.Try got2b glued hairspray, or I use got2b curles. It really doesn't just automaticaly curl your hair but I put it on my roots after I straighten it and it lasts ALL DAY. My problem is I can't get my hair to have volume all day, or keep my part the same way, but this def works. Im not sure what type of hair you have or what sytle you want so its kinda hard to answer, but I hope this helps!----oh be sure to try this with your hair when you have time to play with it before going out because the got2b products pretty much lock your hair in place. lol

How do you keep your hair in place while you dance?

Use hair clips.

How do you keep your hair in place while you dance?

Try Garnier Fructis hairspray. But don't put too much because your hair is supposed to move... spray it by the roots so that way even if you flip your hair, it will go back to where it was.

How do you keep your hair in place while you dance?

by only slow dancing

How do you keep your hair in place while you dance?

Try this style and product.

Don't you hate it when people with long, curly hair put so much gel in it that it looks stiff %26amp; greasy?

Yeah but it's not always on purpose. I hate that look too but sometimes I accidentally put too much conditioner in my hair and it comes out like that. Then I have to wash it out because it looks awful lol

Don't you hate it when people with long, curly hair put so much gel in it that it looks stiff %26amp; greasy?

I work with many Hispanic women who do that. Some of them have this long beautiful flowing curly hair that they put so much mouss or gel in that it looks like it's a stiff statue unto itself. I once asked one of them why they do that and was told that it keeps it from flying away and doesn't look good "brushed out". I have very very strait hair and would love to have the lush feel of long curly locks flowing down my shoulders and back!

Scrunching hair?!?!?!?

I SCRUNCH MY HAIR AND PUT GEL %26amp; HAIR SPRAY IT SOOO I CAN MAKE IT FOR THAT WET LOOK %26amp; I EITHER LEAVE iT DOWN OR PUT IT IN A PONY TAIL RITE AWAY AND HEN I JUST LET MY HAIR DRY.. BUT MY FRIENDS TEND TO PLAY WItH MY HAIR A LOT %26amp; LIKE AS SOON AS PEOPLE TOUCH MY HAIR THEN LIKE ALL THE HAIR SPRAY AND STUFF COME OUT %26amp; THEN LIKE MY HAIR JUST LOOKS LIKE JUST REGULAR CURLY %26amp; DRY %26amp; I WANT IT TO LOOK WET ALL DAY EVEN IF PEOPLE DO TOUCH MY HAiR.. LIKE I SEE ALL THESE OTHER GIRLS AT MY SCHOOL WHO CRUNCH THERE HAIR %26amp; THEY PLAY WITH THERE HAIR A LOT %26amp; IT STAYS THE SAME ALL DAY BUT NOT MY HAIR I HATE IT PLEASE HELP!!!

Scrunching hair?!?!?!?

get a perm instead of scrunching it. then use those anti frizz products such as bed head. My choice is biosilk it's the only product that doesnt dry your hair more. it's the only product thats 1st ingredient is water, and the will make your hair look wet. personally i think it looks greasy

Scrunching hair?!?!?!?

It really depends on what kind of gel and how much you put in your hair. My hair is EXTREMELY curly. I always "scrunch" my hair but I put on a lot of mouse. Gel always seems to not stay in tact with me. Herbal Essence Maximum hold is my BEST FRIEND!

Scrunching hair?!?!?!?

you can buy a brand called v05 mousse its in a bright red little bottle at walmart or herbal essence mousse will work.

also you should try using mousse instead of hairspray it will harden and stay but make sure you use enough and maybe you should try letting it dry before you leave your house and then if it dries and your hair aint hard then use more and be4 u put the mousse in make sure your hair is damp! blow drying it after mousse helps too.

hopei helped

Scrunching hair?!?!?!?

wash your hair at night time and then while it's wet either braid it or plait it then when you wake up in the morning tske out the braids/plaits and scrunch your hair, you can add mousse but not to much (or your hair will just look horrible and dry) this way it will stay good all day and have a wet look to it.

Hope this helps

Scrunching hair?!?!?!?

are you using a diffuser when you dry it? this is an attatchment for your blow dryer and it really boosts curl definition...i would also try a curl creme instead of the gel...or with it if you must. cremes leave hair more touchable.

Then what could be the best gel/spray to hold my hair on a ponytail? my hair is just shoulder level.

what is more adviseable for my hair, just a ponytail? or twist it like a bun? i'm confused, parts of my hair are falling when i twist it. is there any flight attendant here? can't find pictures of their hairs on email. i have interview tomorrow.

Then what could be the best gel/spray to hold my hair on a ponytail? my hair is just shoulder level.?

Super hold hairspray is best. I find gel doesnt really spread every where, heair spray you can apply easily all over once the hair is up :-)

Then what could be the best gel/spray to hold my hair on a ponytail? my hair is just shoulder level.?

I use silvikrin max hold hairspray, put a little bit of on before you put your hair into a pony tail.

How do you shape your hair without keeping it that way?

More specifically, I want to style my hair widly, I don't like plain hair. I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of products I should use if I want to keep my wild hair sticking out but not look like gel hair, know what I mean? You see, each time I use gel, my hair just looks like a lot of spikes on my head, I can't seem to shape any individual part of my hair. I want my hair to look like hair, not gel hair, kinda get what I'm saying? Where I'm in control what the shape is for each hair string...Heh, I'm so fussy about my hair...But yeah.

How do you shape your hair without keeping it that way?

bed head has a lot of products for styles like that. try a wax or styling putty.... something that will move, but also keep hair in place (unlike gel that dries hard)

How do you shape your hair without keeping it that way?

How do you shape your hair without keeping it that way?

Don't worry you aren't the only one get some aussie dual personality mousse "mega hold" and just carefully apply after blowdrying your hair, it will be nice and soft yet just the way you like it.

How do you shape your hair without keeping it that way?

Use a pomade or wax you can define peices of hair separately. Works well. Most hair lines have one. Here is a link to one that works well:

Is it really harmful to use hair gels?

it depends on the hair gel, and how often you use it.

most gels have the same nutrients and vitamins for your hair that shampoo or conditioner would have.

others contain ingredients that are harmful, like alcohol. these gels should be used once in a while. if used often enough, it will cause damage.

it also helps to know what you're allergic to. not all gels use the same ingredients... so if the one you want to use has a certain chemical you react in a negative way to, it's better off that you don't use it.

Is it really harmful to use hair gels?

i hope not. but they do damage your hair so they are harmful to your hair.

Is it really harmful to use hair gels?

the ones containing alcohol are very drying to hair

Is it really harmful to use hair gels?

I have never heard of that problem. Perhaps if someone is allergic to the ingredients of the particular brand of gel, that would be considered harmful...but other wise I see no problem.

Is it really harmful to use hair gels?

Yes because it contains chemicals which is very harmful for hair. It also causes hair fall and discolour it. If it is a herbal material then it is quite different. The best thing to use is mixture of curd and lemon and some times the milk layers (milk malai) can also be used as gel. This keeps your hair and strong.

Is it really harmful to use hair gels?

naaaaa...i dont think....but i would recommend u not to use it too often

Is it really harmful to use hair gels?

yes offcourse it is. It dries up your hair and causes it to fall off if you want you to use gel instead go in for a leave on conditioner this take good care of your hair too

Is it really harmful to use hair gels?

Yes,because it contains chemicals which harm the hairs.

Is it really harmful to use hair gels?

yes.. it dries ur hair and damages it frm the roots!!

don't use it often if u want healthy hair

Is it really harmful to use hair gels?

use good quality gels ..like loreal or Schwarzkopf......and avoid putting it on Ur skull ..put it on Ur hair tips.......and avoid putting gel on Ur hair for the entire day ..put it for like 6 hrs ...perfect for parties.........follow these it wont harm Ur hair...i am a professional i have been using it for like 8 yrs now.....

Is it really harmful to use hair gels?

yah it drys ur hair

Is it really harmful to use hair gels?

it is ok once in a while

Is it really harmful to use hair gels?

Prateek it is harmful to use hair gels but sometimes for parties and stuff it's OK but not every day.Using gel causes dandruff and this causes hair fall
