not really...um actually it causes your hair to fall out because it damgeyour hair (split ends, dmage your new growth) so yhea in the future if you only use gel it would cause your hair to fall out but not completely fall out.........

i've been using gel for about 9 years, and lots of it.. i go through about a bottle every 3 days, and i scrunch my hair every day. I havent found a bald spot yet, and trust me... i've got plenty of hair to give out... ask the person that told you this to go verify their sources.....

The only way that could be possible is if you put that much on that it blocked your hair folicles and killed them. As long as you dont use it all day every day and wash it then should be ok. I think!!!!

using a lot of gel can cause damage like brakage and split ends it can make the hair fall out and receed if you use the gel to scrape back your hair. this is due to the alcohol in gels. my advice is to stay well away as alcohols are used for disinfecting things etc.
