Read the ingredients. If there is alcohol in your gel, then yes it is bad and will dry your hair out.

I use gel everyday, but mine doesn't have alcohol in it. I don't have a problem at all.

yes, very bad. i have a friend who did and he has so many split end now. his hair was blond now it looks white. why dont u try using hair wax...its kinda hard to wash out but its less harfull than gel

It does ruin ur hair...what i do is use gel 2 times a week, and i used leave in conditioner which is what i use and its good cuz i have cirly frizzy hair...but let ur hair go free once a week when ur up to nuttin and when ur at home chillin out dnt wry bout the gel and stuff.
