Can you apply curl activator or gel activator to natural Black (African American) hair.?

i have natural african american hair that is about 2.5 inches short. I wanted to put something in it that makes my curls more defined and stand out more but i am not sure what to use.. Can I use gel or curl activator and how will that look. Thanks.

You could use both products. The gel will be hard and crunchy.

If I was you I would go for a glossing cream. It will define your curl, will add moisture, and not be stiff %26amp; hard. I think it works great on African American hair.

i think a lil pink oil and a hand Full of curl activator may do the trick...

Yes you can. I done it several times when I was natural. Just use a light hand with it because it can make your hair very sticky and heavy.
