I don't normally use gel. I think it's gel that I use to keep my hair in place

When i had my hair in a bun for a wedding i had my friend do it and she only used bobby pins and hairspray!! and she curled my hair!! and i have really long thick hair!! it did not look fake at all!! so just use bobby pins and hairspray when its all up its hard to make your hair look hard from the hairspray!!

I have a friend with really thick, curly hair. I think she uses Garnier Fructis spray gel. I personally recommend a spray gel because then you don't have to lather it on and it's easier to shape your hair with because it doesn't immediately harden like hairspray. Use hefty hair pins, too... You can get really good ones at dance supply stores. Good luck!
