What gel,hairspray etc is the best for making spiky hair?

What is the best gel for best fixation in your opinion. I used to have short hair and I used to make them spiky, but now they have grow longer, and I would like to know what could keep them straight and pointed, plus naturally my hair are curly and quite noncompliant..so, what would you suggest? I like spiky hair so much, but I don't want to cut my hair yet either.

If your hair is long, and you want spikes then hair spray won't work. Try finding the hair gums but I'd take some professional stylist's opinion.

if it is still short enough to spike...i used to use ice spiker. it comes in a blue bottle. i can't rememeber who makes it, but it is basically hair glue. you have to shampoo to get it out, but it will keep your hair where you want it!

i would highly recommend hair cement. its sold at any store that has hair products. my hair used to be halfway down my back and hair cement held it in a straight--up mohawk. hope this helped. good luck^_^
