For a strong hold, try Redken Hardware. I've been using it for years. If you want a straight look, this might not be the right product, but if you want to add body, bounce or control, this product is awesome! One tip: rub through your hands first until it turns kind of gooey. You don't need a whole lot either. A large tube will last me about 6 months which I think is wonderful! It's a little pricey but well worth it because you only buy it rarely. Also, for shine.....I'm a big fan of Redken Glass - incredible!!!! You only need a couple of drops and it controls frizz and adds shine. Hope my comments are helpful to you.
