Should i put mouse and gel in my hair before or after i straighten it?
Try Tigi Control Freak Serum, before you straighten.
Tigi Extra Straight spray afterwards. It should take care of the poof and keep you straight.
Should i put mouse and gel in my hair before or after i straighten it?
put a small bit of serum on before, and some after. don't use mousse or gel. both will make your hair dry and sticky, and the gel will burn on your hair.
Should i put mouse and gel in my hair before or after i straighten it?
No, I never heard anybody doing that... that will just make your hair really hard. Straighten it, then put an oil to keep it from frizzing. You could also try a wax for more management... at least that won't harden your hair.
Should i put mouse and gel in my hair before or after i straighten it?
anything with water or alcohol, like mousse or gel, goes in after straightening. heat protectants go on before straightening to protect hair, especially if its curly you need an oil-based heat protectant.
i have really curly hair and this hail oil smells so good, gives hair shine, and protects it from the heat of styling.

Should i put mouse and gel in my hair before or after i straighten it?
Begin with a smoothing sham %26amp; cond. You can use any professional line not in the grocery store. Ex. Paul Mitchell, Matrix, Redken, Kenra. Towel dry hair and apply a smoothing creme not gel or mousse. Gel %26amp; mousse will more than likely dry your hair out. Make sure your flat iron is a real good one as well. Cheap is not the way to go it only will break the hair.
Should i put mouse and gel in my hair before or after i straighten it?
NO!! Absolutely don't do that! Gel and moose are flammable!! It will cause your hair to burn! And probably destroy your straightener because of the residue on the iron. (which would totally suck if you had an expensive one which you should have)(sorry for the exclamation points) Most gels are intended for spikey and hard hair while most mooses are ment for curly/wavy hair or volumizing. Which aren't exactly great for straight hair.
Always put gel and moose after you're done straightening your hair. Altough, there are serums and sprays that you can put/spray on that would increase the shine or straightness of your hair after you finish straightening it. They will specifically state that it is for use when straightening your hair on the bottle.
Well curly and poofy hair isn't really a problem. Just try to comb your hair straight as best as you can or you can try going to the local stores and look for a spray/serum that is designed to help straightening your hair. Theres usually a long list of brands available at the hair style part of the store.
My personal opinion would be to wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner to straighten your hair. Then towel dry and then blow dry with the setting on cool so your hair won't become frizzy. If that doesn't work, you can use a smoothing/straightening serum from a professional line of products. Then blowdry with setting on cool (unless product tells you not to) and then use a good straightening iron to straighten your hair for cheap ones can cause split ends and damage the roots.
Well, I hoped this helped and good luck. I hope you have a great weekend.
PS:Sorry for using exclamation points. And well, I am guessing that if you add more water than the moose...it won't burn but will alter the straightness of your hair. Like possibly bending a strand of hair at a 90 degree angle or so. maybe wavy or curly after you style it so I wouldn't take that chance.
Should i put mouse and gel in my hair before or after i straighten it?
No...uh uh. It will wreck your hair and your straightener. To keep your hair nice put in a thermal protector...to stop the heat from drying out your hair....this will also stop alot of static and make it easier to straighten and easier to manage. Always make sure your hair is not wet before straightening. To achieve a nice look, something with a bit of shine use an after straightening shine serum. You should be able to pick up any of this at a supermarket or even at a beauty salon.
Also straighten your hair with small sections...it will help the heat penetrate easier and quicker giving you a better finish.
Should i put mouse and gel in my hair before or after i straighten it?
Mouse and gel are both "wet products" that are for use in wet hair before you blow dry. Use a straightening gel or smoothing lotion on wet hair then blow dry. Then use a thermal protecting straightening serum like Redken's Smooth Down Heat Glide with a solid ceramic flat iron, ghd and CHI are pricey but worth it. Finish with a humidity resistant hairspray like Redken's Quickdry, it'll protect against frizz, poof and curl for the day even in humid climates. Stay away from mouse when straightening, most are intended for curly hair or volumizing.
